The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the shortlist for the 2025 Goal of the Year Award, as part of the annual CAF Awards Gala, which celebrates the players, coaches, and teams who have distinguished themselves across African football.
Curated by the CAF Technical Panel, the shortlist features 13 goals scored in CAF competitions between 6 January and 15 October 2025, selected for their technical excellence, creativity, and decisive impact in key moments.
In a special feature of this category, fan votes will determine 100% of the final result, making it the only CAF Award entirely decided by public participation.
Voting opens on Thursday, 6 November, and closes on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, via www.cafonline.com, the dedicated platform www.cafawardsgoty.com, and CAF’s official social media channels.
The winner will be revealed at the CAF Awards Gala, where CAF will honour the best performers in African football for their outstanding achievements.
